I've been eying these hand-blown and uniquely designed night lights for years at the outdoor crafts stands in the Embarcadero Center, but always felt a bit silly, at 27, buying a night light. So I'd typically make my way to the artists booth during my Farmer's Market visits, admire her fun pieces, sigh and walk away.
Then a few weeks ago during my usual routine of admire-sigh-walk away I suddenly realized that, at 27, I could buy whatever the heck I wanted. If I wanted a night light, then by gosh I should have a night light. Being the look-for-messages-from-the-Universe-in-everything girl that I am, I loved the symbolism of purchasing something so pretty to help bring a warm glow of light to any darkness in my home.
As my friend Courtney pointed out while helping me choose my favorite, the one I picked kind of looks like an "exploding" dandelion. But I prefer to think of it as capturing the moment when you make a wish and blow the delicate seedlings into the air, sending out hope for your dreams on a breeze of dandelion snow.
Make a wish, light the night; anyway I look at this...I love it.
