The Grateful Life has teamed up with our favorite store, Heritage Row, for a sweet little holiday giveaway! Jenny has been kind enough to donate this perfect, goes with everything, clutch for one lucky reader (optional strap inside).... And since I received SO MANY compliments on it at my company party last Friday (seriously, even with my best dance moves, this guy outshone me all night), I've decided to add the sparkly and festive statement necklace (also from Heritage Row) to the contest winnings! All we need from you is an answer to this question: What are you most grateful for in 2012? Add your response in the comments section below for a chance to win! In Gratitude, Trish **winner will be chosen at random**

I am grateful for my husband, who I seem love more and more each year we are married (2 to date)! I am also grateful for the trip of a life time he planned, almost 3 weeks traveling all through the national parks!

This post took me so long because I couldn't figure out what I was MOST grateful for because there are so many things, therefore, this year I am most grateful for the abundance of joy I have in my life. I am blessed to be surrounded by a loving family, boyfriend and some of the best friends a girl could have. (not to mention the CUTEST & sweetest 2 yr-old nephew ever, who told me he loved me for the first time the other day *heart melting*) I have a good job, a nice apartment and I'm able to pay my bills AND have a little extra money to travel. I too often get stressed over the little things & am critical of those I love, but I couldn't imagine a life without the people that make my life so rich.

Definitely my health. I work in healthcare and am so thankful I to be up and walking around and feeling good on a daily basis!

I am so deeply grateful for my support system that is my family and friends. It has been one rough year but I am continually humbled by their constant out pour of love and comfort. They teach me daily to constantly count my blessing and to never underestimate the power of ones self. I am surrounded by love and it never ceases to amaze me how unconditional it all is. This year I vow to show them all how much they are appreciated. Happy holidays and cheers to a new and wonderful year!

I am grateful for my sisters (blood and besties) who make the complications of life a little easier and give me lots to laugh about, always!

I am so grateful for all of the possibilities that life allows; for the opportunity to live where I want, and how I want, filling my life with beautiful people and the things that fuel my fire. Simply, grateful for life!

I'd have to say I'm most grateful for my students. They are what I look forward to each and every day. My 7th and 8th graders never cease to amaze me with the ways they view the world and they continually remind me to remain a kid at heart. I feel very fortunate to be able to work with today's youth and play a small part in what they grow up to be. So a big thank you to my kiddos...I am so grateful to be your teacher.

I saw a meme floating around the internet awhile ago, with a little African boy, with a skeptical look on his face and it said "You're telling me you have so much clean water that you s**t in it."

Each & every entry listed prior to mine has it's own special meaning to the author, but I know we all can relate to what they wrote as well. Our health, our families, even fresh water for the bathroom (something we take way too much for granted)...kinda funny, but true. After Friday's terrible tragedy I think about my own daughter as a teacher. So senseless, so sad.

This time of year, I often have to pay special attention to the things that I am most grateful for. This effort is essential to avoid being bogged down with the things that threaten to take away what is most precious about the holiday season (emphasis on gifts, cards, tasks).

Reflecting on 2012, I am most thankful for my husband as his hard work has afford us the opportunity to move to Canada for a new life adventure! I am fortunately able to take some time off work to get us settled and focus on my next career path. Due to his hard work, we have still been able to fly back to the US several times this fall for weddings and holidays with friends and family, and I am so grateful for that!

I'm grateful for all of the opportunities I've had since moving to San Francisco, and all of the lessons - both positive and negative - I've learned in that time! Oh, and wonderful friends like you :)
